![]() The swatches felt the same but I purchased from Cosycover because they're in the US and I figured the shipping would be easier. I got swatches from Magic Linen and Cosycover. In case you want to learn about fibers and understand everything out there here's a link that gets posted quite often in BuyItForLife : tons of info on bedding fibers I have to say the etsy bedding is much better quality. I purchased linen bedding from Garnet Hill and from Etsy. If you're unsure start with pillow cases and see how they sleep. In fact now when I sleep on high quality cotton I REALLY miss the linen.īut every person is different and everyone's best choice will different. After never waking up hot I knew I'd never go back. ![]() They didn't feel bad, just different, but your skin will get used to the texture pretty fast. Linen definitely feels different against your skin than other fibers. ![]() I will say the first night I thought "I don't know how I feel about this". I took the plunge and got some linen sheets and I'm NEVER going back. I recently researched bed sheets and learned more about fibers than I could have imagined. I live in South Florida and I'm a hot sleeper. I've been sleeping on 100% cotton for years, and percale cotton for about the last 10 years. I've had this duvet for a year or two now and it has lived up to my expectations. They have essentially unlimited funds, and for a while, every time I visited her I fell more and more in love with this damn comforter. It was recommended to me by a friend who's landlord provided it for her. I live in a very temperate climate, and I have a comforter I use year round from Sferra fine linens. But I think the linen duvet cover is cool without being too cold. I like the cold crisp feeling, but hate it when it's too cold? If that makes sense. I like the feeling on my skin a lot and I think the linen almost gives it a lighter feeling. I ended up also purchasing a linen duvet cover and I have absolutely no regrets. I personally wouldn't buy from them again, but their product is good. ![]() I have a quilt from Linoto, and I do like it a lot, but I had a horrible experience with customer service that resulted in the quilt coming in nearly 3x the projected timeframe. The differences aren't very noticeable between the two and I would purchase both again. The Tuft and Needle has nubbed or snagged a little more. It's a heavier linen if that makes sense. I personally have really liked both, I think the Cultiver arrived a little softer and has worn a little better. I purchased a set from Cultiver and Tuft and Needle after much research. My husband is a hot sleeper, who insists on covering his entire body when he sleeps. I think percale wasn't for me because I found that I don't care about the crisp feeling and I wanted it to breathe better at night. I went through a deep dive and decided that linen sheets would be the one for me, because I wanted something to stay cooler. ![]() You can research bedding for months.hopefully I won't go that long, though! Hope it's okay to ask here, even though it's not about a mattress.ĮDIT: I've been researching bedding for a week and still have no idea what I'm going to buy. A hefty price, but sleep is a big part of life, and I want my bed to be comfy as possible, so it's something I would consider.Īlso looking for a year-round comforter, if there is such a thing, but maybe I'll just focus on sheets for now. Quince looks reasonable for prices, not sure how the quality is.Īnd Cultiver is known as top quality, and costs as it should. Percale might be nice enough for me, and also sleep cool, and probably much easier to take care of over time (basically just wash and dry).Ĭurrently considering Tuft and Needle or maybe Brooklinen. They should be the coolest sheets out there, and last a long time if properly taken care of (which sounds like a bit of a pain in the butt). They start out a bit rough but soften over time as washed. Linen sheets are twice as expensive, can be tricky to care for, wrinkle very easily and sometimes need ironing. I'm in between 100% Percale Cotton sheets or Linen Sheets. Wanting to invest in some quality long lasting, hopefully cool/crisp sheets, for my new bed. ![]()
